Fascination with technology. Dedication to our clients. Commitment to delivering creative, compelling and practical ideas. And the drive to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
These are some of the companies we’ve worked with that have inspired us over the years.
The Cutline Crew is an experienced bunch of communications pros who have managed campaigns for technology products, services, and companies of every shape and size. The agency was started in 2006 by Megan Lamb and Erin Fors.
Megan Lamb / Partner
Megan has spent more than 15 years working with technology companies large and small. Whether it’s launching companies or fighting fires, Megan has probably done it at some point in her career. She’s handled sensitive acquisitions, drawn-out legal battles, and some fun stuff too. When she’s not working with clients, Megan is the go-to person of choice when the Cutline crew needs a brain to pick.
Prior to founding Cutline, Megan helped build Merritt Group, an enterprise tech PR agency, where she worked with the likes of Verizon, Booz Allen Hamilton, and more. Megan started her career at Fleishman-Hillard working in the early tech days with AOL and battling public policy issues like online privacy and security. In her spare time, when she’s not racking up frequent flier miles, Megan can be found cheering on Duke and trying to keep up with her three kids.
Erin Fors / Partner
Erin helped Megan start Cutline after spending too much time at too-many-to-list agencies (and a short stint in-house). In the early days of Cutline, she worked with clients like Google, where she managed the launches of Android and Chrome, and counseled up-and-coming startups like IntoNow (acquired by Yahoo), ZenDesk and others. Erin is currently working on increasing her Yakarma score with Yik Yak, flexing her purple muscles with Yahoo, avoiding the supermarket like the plague thanks to Instacart, and getting her style on with Polyvore (acquired by Yahoo). Among other things. She’s been recognized by Business Insider as one of the top PR pros in the tech industry and was included on PR Week’s Innovation 50 list. And, as the self-proclaimed Chief Culture Officer, she ensures that the Cutline Crew is not only delivering excellent results but also having fun.
Prior to Cutline, Erin worked with a broad range of clients spanning consumer and enterprise tech. She’s most passionate about shiny things but also loves a good crisis. When she’s not in the office, Erin spends her free time helping bootstrapped startups and entrepreneurs looking to launch the next best thing. And eating bacon. In her spare time she likes to pretend she can disconnect but she’s deathly allergic to off buttons. She lives in the New York City area with her dog Baxter. And, no, he doesn’t speak Spanish.
Meet the Crew
We believe PR strategy should be direct and targeted. Ideas should be creative but practical. And results should be the focus. No cookie cutter PR programs here. Below are other ideas we believe in.
