Miette Cakes is a yummy little pastry shop located in San Francisco’s historic Ferry Building. They have delicious cakes (my favorite is the cheesecake) but also cookies, macarons, cupcakes, tarts, and more. It’s a great place to go to when you need a treat to celebrate a birthday or just someone special.
Cupcake Cove. As a cupcake connoisseur, I have tried many cupcakes and I give my 1st place prize to this little shop, two blocks away from the SF office. Absolutely delightful and new flavors everyday!
I dream of Sift Dessert Bar, a magical place of cupcakes and macarons. My best friend used to work there and would bring me the extra cupcakes they had super late at night while we were in college, and they fueled many late night brainstorms and girls’ nights. My personal favorite is the Battle Royale Cupcake, an almond cake with blueberry tequila filling and acai berry cream cheese topping. BRB, I’m drooling.
Two Little Red Hens is a hidden gem on the Upper East Side of New York City that is known for the Brooklyn Blackout cupcake -- chocolate cake on chocolate cream cheese frosting. I live about 15 minutes away from the bakery (#blessed), and have walked there during the snow, rain and scorching sun to get my sweet fix! Having tried many of their delicious treats, my favorite item on the menu is the baked cheesecake, which is more dense than a regular cheesecake, but is not overwhelmingly sweet or thicks. It’s perfectly fresh, and if you’re lucky, you can even order the blueberry or cherry cheesecake!
Loving Cup! It’s delicious froyo, plus there are two locations (Hayes Valley and The Marina). And in typical San Francisco fashion, the froyo is all-natural, organic and hand churned upon order. Definitely recommend when you’re craving sweet things!
Muka is one of my favorite dessert spots of all time. It’s a cozy coffee house/bar in Hayes Valley, and it’s the perfect date spot! They serve coffee by day, and cocktails/wine/beer by night, and they have some of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Being a chocolate lover, I love the Chocolate Grand Teton, but everything on the menu is great.
