Q. What will you do at Cutline?
Currently I am an intern and I support various accounts. I am busy every moment of the day, but I am thriving and having fun. Being at Cutline allows me to dabble into every aspect of the PR industry, and I absolutely love the fact that I get to work alongside and support such passionate and talented people.
Q. What's your greatest moment in your career so far?
Honestly, this might sound so cliché and cheesy, but the greatest moment so far in my career is getting hired at Cutline. I don’t know how I got so lucky! In the few weeks I’ve been here, I’ve learned a lot and grown -- something that I was deeply looking for. I owe a lot of this growth to my manager Sarah who has been nothing but kind and supportive! It’s been such a humbling experience learning all the ropes, and I am so excited every day when I walk into work.
Q. Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?
Something I am working on is stepping up my Twitter game. I’ve been slacking and haven’t updated it as often as I should (it’s such a powerful tool). But when I do log on, I love to follow Huffington Post’s @LatinoVoices. I identify as Latina and deeply care about my community, so I try to read about relevant news that pertains to us. Also, I am a content creator and contribute to @TravelLatina, a travel platform on Twitter for Latina women. We aim to inspire women to travel all over the world!
Q. What's the one gadget service you wish someone would come up with?
“There’s an app for everything” is one of my favorite phrases. One gadget that doesn’t exist yet (at least I don’t think it does) is a gadget for the iPhone that tracks it after the owner loses it and their phone has been shut off. Currently iPhones can be tracked if they’re turned on, but after they’re turned off there is no way to track it! It needs to be trackable when it’s off.
Q. Android, iPhone, or other?
I own an iPhone and cannot imagine myself using anything else. It’s easy to navigate!
Q. What's your favorite thing about living in New York?
My favorite thing about New York is the food. Every culture you can imagine exists in New York, so there is food for every palate. Within a block radius you can find a Halal truck, a Mexican restaurant, and Ethiopian food. It’s impressive and satisfying knowing that we can try something new every night. I’ve traveled to 19 countries but this is still the best city in the world!
Q. What do you love to do when you're not working?
Besides eating and traveling, I enjoy trying out Groupon exercise classes. Recently I’ve been attending cardio kickboxing classes and I am having a blast. Our bodies are so powerful and I love to push mine to its limits.
