7 Questions with…Bree Baeyens!

At Cutline we like to say #oneteamonedream... and we're so excited to introduce you to one of the latest Cutliners to join the Cutline Crew! Welcome to the team, Bree! Read on to learn more...

What will you do at Cutline?

As an account coordinator at Cutline, I plan to bring a glass-half-full attitude to work every day and approach all opportunities with an eagerness to grow. I am thrilled to join the Cutline hustle and produce meaningful, measurable work for our clients.

What's your greatest moment in PR so far?

This is a tough one. I have many memorable moments so far, but the one that sticks out the most is when I secured my first piece of coverage! I was 19 years old in my first PR internship and secured a byline with Craft Brewing Business for our client, Mammoth Brewing Company. I will never forget verifying with the client that it was okay for me to write the piece, considering I wasn’t of legal drinking age yet. If you want to read a young PR professional’s first media hit, I’ll put myself out there by sharing it here.

Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?

I enjoy following NHL Public Relations because it is a fun way to get updates on my favorite sport, while also observing what the NHL’s communications team is highlighting in the hockey industry. If you care about hockey, you’ll understand my struggle as a die-hard Anaheim Ducks fan trying to make it in Sharks territory. For news, I enjoy following TIME’s Twitter account to stay up-to-date on breaking news and trending topics around the world. Lastly, my favorite personal account to follow on Twitter is Taryn Arnold. She is a brand marketing specialist at Patreon, a former entertainment reporter, and practically part of my family (she has been my brother’s best friend since high school). Her Twitter feed is a little mix of everything: daily news, pop culture, play-by-play live tweeting of each Bachelor episode, and many awesome thoughts on the important conversations going on in the world. I recommend following her. If I wasn’t convincing enough, Chrissy Teigen follows her - need I say more?

What's the one gadget service you wish someone would come up with?

I think it would be interesting to have a gadget that tracks your endorphin levels over the course of a day. What conversations, human interactions, and activities made you the happiest. It would be interesting to know what little details spike your endorphin levels that you might not notice on a daily basis.

Android, iPhone, or other?

I have always been a committed iPhone user with the exception of my first smartphone, which was a Blackberry. I love my iPhone, but I shamelessly admit that sometimes I miss the days of BBM...

What's your favorite thing about living in the Bay Area?

I love the atmosphere of San Francisco! The people here are accepting and supportive of one another - in many different ways. I think the startup and tech-driven culture creates an environment where everyone is eager to see what we can create next. Being surrounded by innovative and creative people inspires me to keep thinking outside of the box.

What do you love to do when you're not working?

When I am not working, I am almost always spending time with friends or family. I am an extremely communal person and enjoy being constantly surrounded by great company. After living alone in Australia for a year, I feel so lucky to now live in the same city as so many of my closest friends from home and college.

Thanks for the pic, Bree!
