Arlene has been with Cutline for over a month now and we're excited to tell you more about her! Well, she'll tell you more about her. 😉
1. What will you do at Cutline?
As an Account Coordinator, I’ll be working with the Cutline team to set our clients up for success. This looks like compiling coverage reports, researching, brainstorming, and developing media lists. I’m sure I’ll be learning a lot along the way!
2. If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Ramen. 🍜 There is nothing quite like a warm bowl of noodles and milky rich broth. Nothing!
3. Who would you most like to swap places with for one day and why?
Hands down, Beyoncé! Queen Bey is the definition of a true Renaissance woman who can do no wrong and is the voice of my generation. It would be so fascinating to peek behind the curtains of my music muse.
4. Where is your favorite place in the world and why?
Mexico. Partially because my family’s roots are tied to the land, but most importantly, it’s due to the diverse landscapes and beautiful people I’ve met there. I have a special place for Mexico City, specifically. What’s not to love about a place that has great eateries, an abundance of art galleries, and Baroque architecture?
5. What do you love to do when you're not working?
You can find me rummaging through thrift stores in search of one-of-a-kind pieces, walking around Lake Merritt and stopping to pet every dog in sight, or exploring new hiking spots in the Bay.
6. Tell us about a few of your favorite things… including, of course, your favorite gadget or app!
I don’t ever leave my home without my Fitbit. My friends and I challenge each other every week to see which one of us can clock in the most steps, and let’s just say we are a competitive bunch. I also use Spotify throughout my day and enjoy spending time on the app creating a new playlist, listening to a podcast, or discovering a new artist.
I am also drawn to large bodies of water, and given that I am originally from the sunny Central Coast of California, I couldn’t imagine ever living too far away from the ocean.
7. If you could be in the movie of your choice, what movie would you choose and what character would you play?
I must admit that I’ve always wondered what it would like to be part of the royal family. I would play Mia Thermopolis from Princess Diaries (clearly, I am a product of the early 2000s). I love that the movie takes place in San Francisco, and think it would be fun to see the city in a different light.
