Q. What will you do at Cutline?
At Cutline, I’ll be doing my best to live up to the amazing reputation of the rockstars who already make up this agency as an account coordinator.

Q. What's your greatest moment in PR so far?
I’m not sure I can think of a specific moment, but seeing your hard work result in a glowing story for your client is always a great moment. That’s one of the things I love most about this industry -- your work generates tangible results.

Q. Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?
Being a 90s baby, I do love to follow The 90s Life (@The90sLife), because who doesn’t love being reminded of those epic all-denim outfits. Also, the pop-culture junky in me can’t help but follow E! Entertainment (@e_entertainment), to get my daily celebrity fix.

Q. What's the one gadget service you wish someone would come up with?
I would absolutely love if someone created a fitness/health service that examined your body and determined your health goals, and then partnered with a food service (like Blue Apron maybe?) and a fitness service (possibly SoulCycle?) to lay out a schedule for you to reach your personal goals in a certain time period. You could pay a service fee that would cover each partner in the process, and find a fitness regime that is perfect for you! Seems easy enough, right?

Q. Android, iPhone, or other?
iPhone all the way, sorry Android lovers!

Q. What's your favorite thing about living in the Bay Area?
My favorite thing about living in the Bay Area is the endless amount of activities I’m able to dive into. For example, I’m going to a mac and cheese festival this weekend - if that isn’t exciting, I don’t know what is.

Q. What do you love to do when you're not working?
When I’m not working, I love to travel. Getting lost in different countries and immersing myself in foreign cultures is a huge passion of mine, one that I think will never go away. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to 20 countries around the world, my favorite being England and the most interesting being Japan. If you can (and haven’t already), I highly recommend jumping on a plane and getting your travel feet wet - you won’t regret it!

Q. What will you do at Cutline?
As Cutline’s intern I will be helping our team with various communications projects! But mostly, I am here to learn from the best!

Q. What's your greatest moment in PR so far?
My greatest moment in PR so far was completing my internship at McGrath Power PR and Communications -- receiving a letter of recommendation from my internship advisor was extremely rewarding.

Q. Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?
I follow so many different Twitter accounts, from various artists to even my favorite tech news pubs! My favorite Twitter accounts to follow are @harpersbazaarus and my best friend’s accounts (because they like to live-tweet their interesting lives).

Q. What's the one gadget service you wish someone would come up with?
I’m not sure if this has become a thing yet, but I would really love it if there were personal item-finders for everything -- because sometimes I can’t find my car keys to save my life!

Q. Android, iPhone, or other?
I’ve had both, but I think the simplicity and design of the iPhone won me over!

Q. What's your favorite thing about living in the Bay Area?
This is an easy answer for me! Family is my favorite thing about living in the Bay Area. The weather and food come second to that.

Q. What do you love to do when you're not working?

7 Questions with…Alexa Becker!

Q. What will you do at Cutline?
As an intern I will be helping out on any and everything! My goal is to be the live in-office version of the Amazon Echo. When anyone needs anything, just call out “Alexa” and I’ll be there!

Q. What's your greatest moment in PR so far?
Considering this is my first gig in PR, working with a company as big as Yahoo has been a dream come true! As a computer science major, I’m a huge tech geek and I could not be more thrilled to get to work closely with some of the companies that I’ve admired from afar for so long.

Q. Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?
I LOVE Twitter and I follow anyone from @CHER to @POTUS, but I recently discovered retired congressman @JohnDingell‘s twitter and it is amazing. I also love to follow @neiltyson to feed my inner nerd and I can’t forget @karlthefog, my favorite anthropomorphic Twitter handle.

Q. What's the one gadget service you wish someone would come up with?
I know this is already in development, but I can not wait to be able to pay with my fingerprints! I lug around a huge bag and it’s always impossible to find anything that I need when i need it, so not having to dig around for my wallet would be amazing!

Q. Android, iPhone, or other?
I am a computer science major and I love everything open source, so Android all the way! I’ve never actually owned an Apple product (I even had a Zune back in the day)!

Q. What's your favorite thing about living in the Bay Area?
I absolutely love being able to walk everywhere! I live pretty centrally and I walk whenever I get the chance, I average 6 to 7 miles a day!

Q. What do you love to do when you're not working?
When I’m not at Cutline, I’m either making coffee at Philz or programming! I don’t get much free time, but when I do, I brunch like nobody's watching and watch tons of documentaries.

Finally made the switch and don’t know if I can go back!

Q. What will you do at Cutline?
As a manager, I help keep the engine running on a few different accounts, making sure that we are generating the best results for our clients from both a strategic and tactical perspective. This includes acting as counsel/a go-to resource for clients, ensuring account operations run smoothly, and helping to secure awesome coverage! I also have the privilege of overseeing and mentoring some of my fellow rock stars, as well as learning from all the smart cookies around me!

Q. What's your greatest moment in PR so far?
I recently experienced my PRoudest moment(s) before joining Cutline, working on the beta launch for Hound, a voice search and personal assistant app from SoundHound Inc. that took the internet by storm! In prepping for the launch, I was able to set up meetings with the type of media a PR person dreams of. Meeting these journalists in person, witnessing jaws drop during the demos, and seeing a slew of amazingly positive coverage hit at launch was such a treasured experience. It also was a testament to my client’s technology, and made me see how much value there is in (and how much fun it is to pitch) a product/service/offering that has actual impact on an industry, on consumers, or even better, on both!

Q. Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?

  • @UberFacts -- Because I love learning about random things.

  • @BestMovieLine -- I’m obsessed with quotes, movies, and quotes from movies.

  • @UTAustin -- For all the news from the best university! Because what starts there changes the world. \m/

  • @annakendrick47 -- Because her wit deserves as much props as her acting does.

  • Music and sports venues, because they not only report on news, but will often post ticket giveaways, which I have benefited from many times. GO LAKERS!

  • Journalists, especially those generally cynical in nature. Makes for an entertaining read -- and oftentimes, is highly educational for PR practitioners.

  • Finally, my 18-yr-old sister, so I can keep tabs on her!

Q. What's the one gadget service you wish someone would come up with?
One day…

Q. Android, iPhone, or other?
Blackberry! J/K. Android #FTW.

Q. What's your favorite thing about living in New York City?
That it kicks my a$$! But, in a good way. Seriously, Frank had it right, no doubt about that. I’ve lived in some of the coolest cities in the world (Rome, Austin, Los Angeles, and of course, El Paso, Texas), but there’s also something extremely validating in knowing you actually can make it in New York.

I could do without (what feels like) six months of this, though:

Q. What do you love to do when you're not working?

  • Spend money I don’t have on food and drinks.

  • Lay out, in an attempt to regain the color I’ve lost during the winter...before the impending gloom returns once again.

  • Play tour guide to visiting friends and family.

  • Make it home in time to watch “Jeopardy!”

  • Check out as many shows as I can -- most recently, made it to Radio City Music Hall for the first time to see Kelly Clarkson, Citi Field for Foo Fighters, and Central Park Summerstage for Milky Chance and X Ambassadors. I think we forget how lucky we are that every musical artist performs here!

  • Catch up with my family in Texas and California, especially my sisters who are starting college and high school this fall!
