Cutline Gives Thanks, Today and Every Day

With so much happening around the world and across industries, Thanksgiving feels a bit different this year. Rather than an annual reminder to give thanks (and eat well!), we’re collectively acknowledging a moment to recognize the ongoing gratitude we’ve been learning to practice every day.

When we asked Cutliners what they’re grateful for, the answers were abundant and immediate. From simple pleasures to stand-out memories, here’s how our team gives thanks.

Building the lives we dreamed of

It may sound a bit corny, but every day I wake up and feel thankful to feel good, to be able to see, to have clean air to breathe, and clean water to drink. One of the best quotes I ever read, which clearly really stuck, was, “We were never even promised the world would still be here in the morning. Start with gratitude for this alone and just keep counting” — and it continues to inspire me. On top of all of this, I am indescribably grateful for a team that makes me laugh every day, our incredible clients who are building a better and more inclusive future, and being able to do work I truly love. If you would’ve told me I could actually be a writer and live in New York City when I grew up… well, I wouldn’t have believed you. —Krista

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to design my life and career. The flexibility at Cutline has empowered me to collaborate with powerhouse teams and clients across time zones, realize my lifelong dream of living in Los Angeles, and maintain the balanced lifestyle that means so much to me. If we have one life, we might as well personalize it! —Jordan

Evolving with world-changing clients (and creators!)

This year, I am particularly thankful for the incredible clients we work with. I’ve had the opportunity to dive into a completely new industry — electric vehicle charging — with our amazing client ChargePoint and continue working with companies that are truly transforming an entire industry, like Opendoor. There have been new challenges that have helped me grow as a PR professional, and it’s been so rewarding to work alongside people and companies doing such cool things. —Esther

Family, friends, work, play, health, food — I’m grateful for it all! With uncertainty all around us, particularly living in the world of tech in the midst of a potential recession, I am so incredibly grateful for Cutline and my clients. You both inspire me equally. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t learn something new or feel energized and empowered by my peers. Cheers to all who have made this year one to remember. —Carrie

A supportive, fun team

Cutline is one of the most supportive and understanding teams I have ever had the pleasure of being part of. Each member of the team rallies behind each other in a way that feels truly unique to our industry. After a year of burnout, I took the leap (and risk) in joining a new agency, and every day I am reminded that this was the exact source of inspiration I needed. Every ounce of hustle is met with even more encouragement and positive affirmation, and for this I am grateful! —Lilly

This past year has been so wild, and I feel like I’m only now slowing down to appreciate everything that has happened. One thing I’m extremely grateful for this year was the opportunity to join the Cutline team. I’ve never been on a team that is so supportive, driven, and welcoming. I’ve learned an immense amount from each person and I am so grateful for all my wonderful teammates! I am also grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had to travel in the past year. I missed getting out and exploring the world. I can’t wait to see where 2023 takes me next! —Catherine

Traveling to New Orleans with Cutline

I am thankful for this incredible, hilarious, caring, and inspiring team of women, and for our recent offsite to New Orleans! It was the most amazing time being able to bond as a team and meet coworkers I had only ever met via Zoom. I’m also so grateful for this past year — looking back, I know I’ve grown personally and professionally, was able to take full advantage of traveling (something I will never take for granted again), and spent so much time with my family. Excited to see what 2023 has in store!  —Lily

What am I not thankful for this year?! It’s truly been one for the books. I’m surrounded by the best people in all aspects of my life, especially work. Finally getting to meet all Cutliners in person at our New Orleans offsite was a breath of fresh air, and I’m forever grateful for all the laughs, chats, dance moves, and slices of pizza we shared. Working with amazing clients who do amazing things is even better when you have such talented and inspiring teammates and mentors to do it with. I’m also wildly thankful for a year of good health and for returning to somewhat of a post-pandemic life. Cheers to another year of greatness! —Sophia

The ability to see the bright side

I read recently that it’s easier for humans to focus on the negative in life than it is the positive. It’s understandable. We’re inundated with news every day that ranges from bad to terrible, and we each have our personal struggles to navigate. That makes it even more important to take the time to find and appreciate the positives in life. It’s just one small way we make our world a better place. I am truly grateful to work with a group of spectacularly talented humans who bring optimism, support, and care to Cutline every day. It is a special team that focuses on lifting up rather than tearing down. We have much to be thankful for. Let’s make sure to celebrate it! — Megan
