Celebrating Women’s History Month 2022

This March, we’re thrilled to celebrate Women’s History Month! As a woman-owned company, we know firsthand the strength and value of women’s voices.

We began our month by bringing awareness to #BreakTheBias, which aims to cultivate a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination and forge women’s equality. We ordered lunch from local women-owned restaurants in San Francisco and New York. Finally, we challenged our team to create, do, or share something that represents what Women’s History Month meant to them.

Celebrating my support system

“This month, and over 365 days a year, I’m inspired by all the smart, strong, and independent women that surround me. From each and every Cutliner to all my very closest friends, I feel extremely lucky to have you all as a support system. For Women’s History Month, I purchased this piece of artwork to hang in my home office, and to remind me that we are capable of anything. All we have to do is try our best.” –Carrie

Honoring strong women throughout history

“To me, Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate the women in history who broke out of society’s mold to make this a better world for everyone in it. One of my favorite quotes is “Empowered women empower women”. This month is not only about idolizing female leaders from the past but also about being inspired by them to become strong leaders ourselves. It’s our job to continue their legacy and go out of our way to help other women become the best version of themselves as well.” —Maria

Gratitude for my Grandma

“During Women’s History Month, I think back to conversations with my grandma, who often talked about how she pursued attending college and a career at a time when that wasn’t so widely encouraged or accepted. She was a strong, independent woman who led an incredibly full life balancing raising a family, volunteering, and career pursuits, and she never, ever stopped learning. I’m so grateful for women like my grandma who paved the way for the accomplished, ambitious, and independent women I know and love, giving us the opportunity to lead full lives, as well.” —Esther

Teaching the next generation

“As the mom of two sons and a daughter, I think a lot about encouraging and lifting up the young women and girls in my life, but just as importantly about creating the next generation of men and boys who will support and respect women in all they do. The only way to create more equity in our world is to raise the next generation—male and female—to advocate for one another. And there is nothing more rewarding to me than to see my sons recognize the strength and power of their sister and regard it as nothing at all unusual. May that be the future!” —Megan

Driving meaningful change

“Women are changing the world. Daily. And the work is never done! But we are still here getting up every day and setting out to make a difference, whether it be at home, at work, in the community, or on Capitol Hill. Women's History Month is a time when we reflect, honor, and appreciate the women who have come before us, the women alongside us, and the women who will come after us. I hope that each day brings us closer to the equality, inclusion, and respect that all women deserve.” —Colleen
