10 Questions With Lily
What was your very first job? What did you learn from that experience?
For a few summers, I was a tennis instructor for small children who ranged in age from 3 to 7. I learned that patience truly is a virtue!
What do you love about PR?
I love that use our creative brains to support incredible clients. In PR, we’re always working on something new, and in turn, learning something new. I wouldn’t trade this profession for anything.
What's the one gadget service you wish someone would come up with?
Something that could blow dry my hair into shiny perfection for me.
Where is the most inspiring place you've visited? What made it special?
Costa Rica! I’ve been there twice and want to go back soon. The people there are incredibly welcoming, and everyone lives by their pura vida saying. I was also in awe at how the natives really care about the world and how they protect their unique flora and fauna above all else.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“This too shall pass”, from my mom, on numerous occasions. Mothers are always right.
What’s something you saw recently that made you smile?
An unlikely friendship between a pigeon that can’t fly and a tiny chihuahua. You can view the cuteness for yourself here.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Surfing!
What's your favorite quote? What impact has it had on you?
The first thing that comes to mind is “carpe diem!” I know this is an extremely well-known saying, but I first heard it at a young age while traveling, and it’s always stuck with me. It didn’t matter if we were eating a delicious meal or on hour five of waiting in the airport — my aunt would always say “carpe diem!”
How do you prefer to start your day?
A workout and stretching followed by a delicious green smoothie or coffee.
What do you love to do when you're not working?
You can find me hiking, thrifting, exploring new places in California, and cooking.
